Owners, Dylan and Madison Collom

My name is Dylan and I grew up in Shawnee County raising and showing cattle and pigs. In 2016, I was at the Kansas State Fair showing pigs in the open division, when I met Madison in the swine barn. It was love at first sight. By day, I am a full-time mechanic.

 

Originally from Hamilton County, Madison grew up on a small farm raising cattle and pigs; she also has a fondness for horses. Madison is a full-time teacher.

 

Our story...

We bought a small farm in Holton in 2018 and continued raising cattle and show pigs. We've have always finished pigs for neighbors and friends, but in 2020 when the demand for local quality products took root, we began to finish more and more to meet demand. Two years later, we were married.

 

Raising livestock is not a job, it’s a passion. From the coldest nights to the hottest days, the needs of the animals are always first priority.

This is truly a family affair. Madison makes sure all the pigs born on the farm have the best possible start in life, as well as all the record keeping. Dylan manages the herd health and feed rations for the farm, on top of being a heavy equipment mechanic. All the other jobs are split up by who is available, a big thanks to Dave and Becky (my parents) helping out wherever needed.
